Family caregiving is the quiet, everyday work of love carried out by millions of individuals who support aging parents, spouses, children with special needs, veterans, relatives, and loved ones with chronic illness or disability. It includes helping with daily activities like bathing, meals, medication management, transportation, and emotional support—often while balancing jobs, children, and personal health. The Caregiving Doctor is a wealth of experience and knowledge. She will continue to educate, empower, and equip family caregivers worldwide to care for themselves while caring for others.
Family caregivers are the backbone of our healthcare system, allowing loved ones to remain at home with dignity, safety, and connection. Yet this role often comes with physical exhaustion, emotional stress, financial strain, and isolation, making recognition, education, and community support essential to sustaining both caregivers and those they care for today.
